Wednesday, September 7th, LIVE@CENTRAL! will open its seventh season with a double header event. At 6:00 PM we will have a "Fly Ball" demonstration in the Davis Christian Life Center after the evening meal. Fly Ball is a "head to head" fun event where two teams of four dogs each compete to see which team can go down and return the four balls to the finish line the quickest. This is great fun to watch, but for the dogs (and their owners), this is serious business. Immediately following, at 6:30, Centrals own Johnny and Sharon Tanner and Melanie McMillan will warm up their strings and voices with some fun "picking and grinning". Johnny's song, "WAKE UP JOHN" is the 2011 winner of the Gospel category in the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest sponsored by Merle Fest in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. He will be sharing with us that experience and the story behind "'WAKE UP JOHN".
