Barnes and Noble Storytime
The Forgetful Little Leprechaun - by David Mead - conveys an important message for young children that one's true pot of gold is found not at the end of a rainbow, but in friendship. This amusing tale, told in rhyme about an absent-minded leprechaun who goes in search of his lost pot of gold, is illustrated with original artwork and includes a sound button with a cheerful rendition of 'Irish Eyes Are Smiling.' A fun-to-read story with beautiful artwork and music will make this book a family favorite.

Florence Little Theater Peter Rabbit
Silly Peter Rabbit! His brothers and sisters always try to keep him away from trouble. His mother warns him about going into Mr. McGregor's garden but he won't listen. He gets trapped inside the garden fence and barely gets out in time. If that wasn't enough excitement, Cousin Benjamin comes over and calls Peter a chicken. Peter HAS to go back to the garden now! You can bet they'll get out safely, after they learn a valuable lesson! By Kevin Reese

USTA campus kids' day
The Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis programs will host a USTA Campus Kids' Days event on Saturday, March 10, as the Patriots entertain Peach Belt Conference foe Augusta State University at noon on the Kassab Courts.
There will be a free kids' clinic from 10 to 11 a.m. at FMU.
There will be a free kids' clinic from 10 to 11 a.m. at FMU.
Local league coordinator for Junior Team Tennis, Gary Elms, will also be in attendance to allow kids to sign up for the upcoming Junior Team Tennis League to be played at the Dr. Eddie Floyd - Florence Tennis Center.
Campus Kids Days are designed to expose current and aspiring junior players (and their parents and coaches) to college tennis.
The many benefits of this program include getting more junior players on college campuses at a young age (exposing them to the fun and excitement of college tennis); filling bleachers with juniors, their parents, and coaches; and helping build stronger ties between college programs (coach and players), their USTA section, and the local tennis community.
The March 10 event is being presented in conjunction with the Florence Tennis Association.
Francis Marion is one of approximately 75 schools from across the country taking part in the 2011-12 program.
